The Reverend Scott Onan Brennen aims to become become a better and more effective Christian Servant based on my 20+ years of being a biblically based, apt, enthusiastic, fun loving and compassionate leader in the ordained ministry. He was ordained to the Diaconate on July 11th, 2001 and ordained to the Priesthood on July 22nd 2002.
The Reverend Brennan currently serves as the fifth Rector of St. Ambrose Church since his appointment on September 1st, 2024. Prior to this appointment, he served as a Rector four times in three countries.
He patterns his entire life after Jesus’ example of the Good Shepherd in John chapter 10 with emphases on loving everyone unconditionally; leading as a true Servant of all; and making a deliberate effort to know as many people as possible by name. As a parish priest in six different parish settings, he is still able to call many by name and minister to them. This is extremely effective in reaching persons and letting them know he genuinely cares about them and will help.
Rev Brennan describes himself as a ‘biblical forensic preacher’ who dissects and examines Holy Scripture. Once understood, I use relevant illustrations and jovial explanations to articulate the biblical experience in a systematic fashion. He takes his sermon preparation very seriously.
